GTA Players spot a new glitch in GTA Online

In GTA Online, you'll often fall through the map and get back up on your own. This is a normal occurrence and can happen during any mission or job. You'll just have to wait for your teammate to catch up with you (or vice versa).

But there's one instance where this doesn't happen: if you're playing in a solo session, and you die while falling through the map, your character respawns at their last place of death. Your last checkpoint will be wherever they died. But if they were killed somewhere else, then that's where they'll respawn too. I've been playing GTA Online for a few months now, and one of the things that's really stuck with me is how weird it is to fall through the map.

I mean, yeah, I knew you could fall through it in single-player, but it's just not something that happens in multiplayer. And then when you do fall through the map, you don't die immediately or anything like that. You just get back up automatically and continue playing your game. It's kind of a neat effect there, because when you're falling it looks like time has slowed down around you — like a slow-motion video or something — so by getting stuck in a glitchy animation loop while time keeps moving forward around you, you can see how long it actually took for your character to fall through the map after he logged off or whatever.

I have been playing GTA Online for a while now, and I have never encountered this issue before. I was playing with a friend in the same session when we fell through the map. The game has a "sorry you got stuck, please wait" message on it's title screen, but it's not very helpful as we can't move or use weapons. We were able to use our phone to call 911 and get trapped inside a small area where we couldn't move or interact with anything else but our phones (and the door). We couldn't talk to anyone either, so it was just a lot of waiting and watching. We tried restarting the game, but that didn't work either.

After about an hour, someone else came along and helped us out by getting us back up on solid ground again. I don't know if this is some kind of bug or if Rockstar wants us to do something specific when falling through their maps (like calling 911 or restarting their game), but I was wondering if there is any way you could help me fix this issue?

What happened to the players?

One GTA Online player landed in a precarious situation after his team killed a rival gang member, who then shot and killed the player. The incident took place in Grumman Mindfield on the online version of Grand Theft Auto 5. The player was identified as RKTR, who was playing as a member of the "Slaughterhouse Gang." He was playing with a group of five other players when they spotted another group of five players not far away from their location. The two groups had been playing together for several minutes, when RKTR decided to kill one of the members of the opposing gang.

The victim was killed instantly by an RPG shot to his chest. This led to a firefight between both sides, during which one of Slaughterhouse Gang's players died as well - again from an RPG shot. The remaining members of Slaughterhouse Gang fled from the area immediately after the incident took place. One GTA Online player landed in a precarious situation, when he was spotted by a helicopter and had to make a decision about whether or not to stay on the ground.

The video shows a player getting shot down over the water, and then struggling to get back up after being wounded. He yells at his friends from the ground, asking them to help him get out of there. The video ends with him getting back on his feet and making it out of the area alive.
