Will the version 2.2 update be launched in BGMI?

The developers of PUBG Mobile have launched the new update officially to the game. It has just been a day or two since the update has been launched. This update brought out tons of new content to the game and the players are excited to try out the same. But there is one issue for the Indian players who love to play PUBG Mobile. We all know that BGMI was launched as a substitute for PUBG Mobile in the country and it has been months since BGMI has been banned in the country. This time again the game had been banned due to the same reasons like earlier.

BGMI was delisted from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store on 28 July 2022. Since then the developers have been trying to unban the game by continuously cooperating with the Indian Government. So, it cannot be denied that the developers also want the game to be unbanned as soon as possible. But we all know that these things take some time as they are taken into the legal purpose. Till then the developers have promised that they would be updating the players with the information regarding the same. But it has been long since they had updated.

The version 2.2 update has been launched for PUBG Mobile users on 15 September. And we all know that if an update is launched on the Global version, it takes just a day or two for the same to be launched in BGMI also. But as the game has been banned in the country, there is no possible way in which the players would be able to update the same. Here we would be having a detailed look at whether the version 2.2 update would be available for the BGMI players or not.

Possibilities of the update to be launched in BGMI

Now we would be having a look at the possibilities which would be telling whether the update would be launched for BGMI or not. There are two ways in which the game could be updated. One method is through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and the other is through the official website of BGMI. But as we all know that BGMI has been banned and it has been delisted from Google Play Store and App Store both. So, the chances of updating from the first option is not easy.

Being banned, the government of India has also blocked the players to download the Apk from the official website of Battlegrounds Mobile India. So, this also closes both the doors for the players through which they would be able to update the game. Now it is yet not clear whether the game would be having the version 2.2 update available for the users or not. Lucky Man is one of the most popular content creators in the BGMI community. And ever since the ban of the game, he has been active to provide reports to the players regarding the unban and update things.

He recently spoke about the chances which tell us whether the update would be launched for BGMI or not. He also gave some other important updates by saying that the current Premium Crates and Classic crates would go on till November 19. The developers have changed the interface which appears when the players would be going on to the crates section. Along with that, he also said that there is no chance that the developers would be bringing in some events related to the expenditure of UC in the game.

Many content creators have provided some information regarding the unban status of the game and why it is taking a lot of time. Recently, we also saw the owner of War Mania, Hrishav Bhattacharjee saying about the things which are stopping the game from being unbanned in the country. He also said the game would be back by the month of November and there are maximum chances that the things would be worked upon till that date. However, it is yet not clear whether the game would be unbanned or not.
