BGMI Lite may not be launched after the ban of BGMI

Battlegrounds Mobile India recently received a ban from the Indian Government a few weeks ago. This is for the 2nd time when the game has been banned in the country and now the players are having low hopes whether the game would be back or not. Earlier, it was banned as PUBG Mobile during September 2020 and now it has been banned as Battlegrounds Mobile India. It has just been a year since the game has been launched and the developers were not able to cope up to the rules and regulations framed out by the Indian government for the same.

Back in 2020 when PUBG Mobile was banned, the list of banned games also had PUBG Mobile Lite in it. Because of this reason, there has been a high demand of all the PUBG Mobile Lite players that BGMI Lite should also be launched in the country. The gamers have been consistently writing to the developers taking the help of influencers to contact the developers of BGMI regarding the Lite variant of the game. The popularity of BGMI is growing day by day due to which it seems that the developers were not able to work for the Lite variant due to the same.

BGMI ban's affect on the Lite variant

Recently, the Government of India banned Battlegrounds Mobile India by removing it from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. It was done on 28 July and this day came out to be a turning point for the Indian Gaming Community. This was a shocking news for all the Indian Esports players as Esports was growing a lot with the help of BGMI in the country. But unfortunately, due to the orders given by the Indian government and MEITY, BGMI has been delisted from both Google Play Store and App Store.

However, it has been revealed that this is a temporary ban to the game and it would be unbanned as the developers follow the things informed by the Government. The Government banned the game due to a security breach which happened in the privacy of the game. Due to this reason, the game has been banned under the Section 69A by the Government of India. This ban of the game has adversely affected the Esports scenario of Battlegrounds Mobile India and also the content creators as they might need to shift to some other games.

Along with that, the ban of the game has affected one more thing and that is the potential launch of the Lite variant of the game. Earlier, the developers brought down many updates that they would be bringing out the Lite variant of the game. They brought out many surveys which showed that they might be working on the Lite variant of the game. But after the ban of BGMI, the main focus of the developers have now again shifted to bring back Battlegrounds Mobile India back to the country.

Also, the series of events which took place and led to the ban of the game might put up some questions to the developers by the Indian Government when they would be bringing in the request to launch BGMI Lite in the country. Therefore, it is important for the developers to look for the launch of BGMI back to the country as it would open the doors for BGMI Lite to be launched as soon as possible. Along with that, all of the BGMI Lite fans have been waiting for their game to be launched for a long time due to which the game audience is suffering a lot.

They even brought down many campaigns like #WeWantBGMILite on Twitter to grab the attention of the developers but unfortunately they weren't enough to do so. In case BGMI fails to make it's comeback to the country, then it would be not possible for BGMI Lite to be launched. So, it is important for the developers to take down the necessary steps so that BGMI gets unbanned from the country and Indian Government gives a green signal to the game.
