PMWI 2022 Afterparty Showdown Day 1 Highlights

The second phase of the PUBG Mobile World Invitational has begun. There are a total of 12 teams which would be fighting against each other for a total of 3 days in 18 matches in the Afterparty Showdown. This phase of the event has started on 18 August and we will receive our winners on 20 August. The first day of the tournament saw the Brazilian team of Alpha7 Esports dominate the leaderboard as they have secured the first position with a total of 76 points. The team was also successful to take 2 wins during the day.

There were a total of two showdown matches which had been played on Day 1. The first showdown match saw Scout help Team 7Sea Esports take the win. He clutched against the team of Stalwart Esports in the end zone allowing the Indian Team to get the win. The second showdown match was won by the team of Stalwart Esports. They had carried the domination from the first phase of the tournament to the 2nd phase due to which the fans are also excited to see how Stalwart Esports gets back to the top of the leaderboard.

The second position is being held by the team of DAMWON Gaming. The team had secured two wins but a few bad matches led to them having a good difference in securing the first position. Meanwhile, the team of falcon Esports are also just behind them chasing the 2nd position by just one point and they would be looking forward to claim the position in the following two days. Stalwart Esports failed to give their best in a few matches due to which the team had ended the day at the 5th position. Fan favourite Bigetron RA finished the first day at 7th position.

Match Highlights

The first match of the tournament was being played in the Erangel map. DAMWON Gaming played patiently as their last two players were able to get the win for the team with a total of 4 kills. The team of Stalwart Esports were dominant in the game but got eliminated at the 3rd position with a total of 9 kills. This match was also great for Vampire Esports as they were able to gather 12 points from the game.

Team S2G dominated the second match which was being played on Livik. The team rushed everywhere which showed that they love to dominate in Livik. In the end, they had won the game with a total of 10 eliminations. The team of Alpha7 Esports put forward a great fight in this match but got eliminated in the final fight. Therefore, they placed 2nd in this game with a total of 7 kills keeping their performance consistent.

The team of Alpha7 Esports maintained their consistency which helped them to secure the win in the 3rd match. This match was being played in Vikendi and the team dominated the lobby by taking a 19 eliminations win in the game. 7Sea played perfectly for the position but unfortunately were unable to take the fight against Alpha7 Esports towards the end. So, 7Sea Esports got eliminated in the 2nd position with just a total of 2 kills.

The fourth match of the day was being played on another short map which is Karakin. This match saw S2G secure another chicken dinner for themselves as they won the game with a total of 4 kills. Vampire Esports dominated the lobby throughout the game but towards the end they lost the fight against the team of S2G Esports. Stalwart Esports played aggressively and collected 6 kills but were eliminated early.

DAMWON Gaming showed their dominating performance in the Sanhok map which helped them to clinch the win. So, the team won the fifth match of the tournament with a total of 14 eliminations. They collected a total of 24 points from the match which pushed them in the points table. 7Sea Esports again failed to dominate in this game as they were eliminated early by the team of Vampire Esports.
