COD Mobile World Championship Indian playoffs

It is now time for all the Esports players of Call Of Duty Mobile to gear themselves up as the COD Mobile World Championship is now coming closer. The developers of the game have started conducting the regional playoffs through which we would get to know which teams would be representing each of the participating countries in the International tournament. This is the fourth stage of the tournament and it would be played in five different regions. These regions are India, Japan, North America, LATAM and Europe. When the regional playoffs for all these regions will come to an end, we will receive our participants for the COD Mobile World Championship 2022.

It would be intense and interesting both for the fans to have a look regarding which of these teams would be able to make it to the Finals of the World Championship. The developers of the game have confirmed that the World Championship would be having a total prize pool of 2 million dollars. There are a total of five stages of the tournament which had been informed to the players through the tournament format announcement. The third competitive stage of the same came to an end on 3rd July. The teams which secured the top 8 positions in the third stage had confirmed themselves for the regional playoffs of their country.

The developers also provided information to the players regarding how many teams would be selected for the World Championship through the Regional playoffs. There would be a total of three teams each which would be qualified from the regional playoffs of Europe, North America, and the LATAM regions. Two teams would be selected from the regional playoffs of India, China and Garena region and only one team would be selected from the regional playoffs of Japan.

Tournament schedule

There are a total of five regional playoffs which would be played in five different regions. The timings for the same are as follows-

India- 13 to 14 August; 1:00 PM IST
Latin America - 13 to 14 August; 10:00 AM CDT
Japan- 20 to 21 August; 3:00 PM JST
Europe- 20 to 21 August; 2:00 PM BST
North America- 27 to 28 August; 10:00 AM PST

These are the timings and dates on which the tournament would be played. Therefore, by 28 August, we would have received all the finalists who would be representing their countries in the COD Mobile World Championship 2022.

Format of the tournament

Let us now have a look at the format of the tournament. The tournament would be conducted over a total of two days and will have a total of eight teams which would be competing for their slot to the World Championship 2022. The first day of the tournament had been confirmed to follow a swiss-style format which means that the top teams would advance themselves to the next day of the tournament. There would be a total of four teams which would be able to advance themselves through the first day.

The second day of the tournament would be more intense as on this day, the teams would be fighting against each other for their slot in the World Championship. This day will be following a double elimination format through which the teams which had been qualified through Day 1 would be making their spot to the World Championship. There would be a total of two teams which would be qualified from India and they would be meeting the other top teams from different regions of World which have been qualified through the regional playoffs.

Qualified Teams

Lastly, let us now have a look at the teams which have been qualified for the regional playoffs of India. These teams would be fighting against each other and two of them would be able to make it to the COD Mobile World Championship representing India.
