It had been launched as a substitute to PUBG Mobile by the developers of PUBG Mobile when the game had been banned in the country due to data sharing with the country of China. Unfortunately, the game has yet again been banned due to which the players who had Esports tournaments for the same are suffering a lot. There are many content creators and influencers who saw the same happening and have started to advice the players to move to some other game till BGMI comes back to the country.

The developers of BGMI are working with the government constantly and communicating with them on a frequent basis to ensure that they are able to bring the game back to India. The Government of India started investigation of this issue over 4-5 months ago and came to a conclusion in the month of July. Therefore, they told the Google Play Store and App Store to remove the application from their respective stores for the country. However, it would be difficult for Battlegrounds Mobile India players to adapt themselves with the meta of Free Fire Max until or unless they are a non gyro player. Free Fire Max does not supports Gyroscope settings due to which it becomes difficult for the BGMI players to adapt themselves with the game.
