Every year, the PUBG Mobile fans eagerly wait for the International LAN tournaments where the best teams from all over the world compete against each other for the championship. This year, the PUBG Mobile World Invitational tournament is about to be held soon. The tournament is scheduled to begin on 11 August and would last for a total of 10 days and end on 20 August. It is featuring a massive prize pool of 3 million US dollars which is divided into two stages. The tournament would be played in two parts which are the Main Event and the After-party Showdown. 

 

The Main Event is having a total prize pool of 2 million dollars and will last for a total of three days. It is scheduled to begin on 11 August and come to an end on 13 August. Along with that, this tournament is among the most awaited tournaments for the game till now as it would be after COVID-19 pandemic that the PUBG Mobile LAN tournaments will allow fans to the venue as audience. The remaining 1 million dollars would be the prize pool of the After-party Showdown of the tournament. Let us now have a detailed look at both of the tournament phases.

Main Event

The Main Event of the tournament will have a total of 18 matches which would be played over a span of three days. These matches would be played across three competitive maps which are Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok. The winners of the Main Event of the tournament will be awarded with a total of 500 thousand US dollars prize money which is 25% of the total prize pool. The teams which secured the remaining positions would receive the following prize pools-

 

  • 2nd Place- $300K

  • 3rd Place- $160K

  • 4th Place- $100K

  • 5th Place - $75K

  • 6th Place - $55K

  • 7th Place - 48K

  • 8th Place - $44K

  • 9th Place - $40K

  • 10th Place - $37K

  • 11th Place - $33K

  • 12th Place - $30K

  • 13th Place - $27K

  • 14th Place - $25K

  • 15th Place - $22K

  • 16th Place - $20K

  • 17th Place - $17K

  • 18th Place - $15K

 

Each of the team which is a participant of the first week of the tournament would also be granted a total of 25 thousand US dollars. Team Soul would be representing India in the Main Event of the tournament and would be looking forward to making a great comeback to the International Esports scenario of PUBG Mobile after 3 years.

 

After-party Showdown

Let us now have a look at the second phase of the tournament which is the After-party Showdown. This phase of the tournament has been scheduled to begin on 18 August and will come to an end on 20 August. So, the last date of this phase will also mark an end to the tournament. There would be just a total of 12 teams which would be featured in this phase of the tournament and also the developers of the game have brought a new format for the same. The top five teams from the Main Event of the tournament will advance themselves towards the After-party Showdown. They would be joining the seven invited teams to fight for the prize pool of 1 million dollars.

 

The team which secures the top position in the After-party Showdown of the tournament will take home a total prize pool of 60 thousand US dollars. The remaining teams would be awarded as follows-

  • 2nd Place - $55K

  • 3rd Place - $50K

  • 4rth Place - $45K

  • 5th Place - $40K

  • 6th Place - $35K

  • 7th Place - $30K

  • 8th Place - $25K

  • 9th Place - $20K

  • 10th Place - $18K

  • 11th Place - $15K

  • 12th Place - $13K

 

Therefore, this is the total breakdown of the prize pool of the second phase of the tournament. The teams have started grinding themselves to ensure that they are able to take the title with themselves. The tournament would be streamed on the official Esports channels of PUBG Mobile. It would be streamed on three different platforms which are YouTube, Facebook and Twitch. According to the Indian Standard Time, the matches would be streamed at 4:30 PM everyday
