Krafton reveals PMGC 2022 Dates

The PUBG Mobile fans had been waiting for PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 announcements. And recently, the developers of PUBG Mobile have revealed some information about the Global Championship of this year. They have confirmed that the Global Championship would begin on 22 November, 2022 and will come to an end on January 23, 2023. It would be intense for the teams and fans both as the best teams all over the world would be competing against each other for the championship and also a massive prize pool of the tournament. It would be a great opportunity for the teams to secure the global trophy this time.

The developers of PUBG Mobile have announced a total of two Global Esports tournaments which would be hosted by them. Both of the tournaments would have a total prize pool of 7 million dollars. Their first Global LAN event would be held on 11 August and will come to an end on 20 August. This is the PUBG Mobile World Invitational and the tournament would be featuring a total prize pool of 3 million dollars which would be divided into two phases of the tournament. The latter would be the PUBG Mobile Global Championship and this tournament will have a total prize pool of 4 million US dollars.

This time the developers have reduced the prize pool of PUBG Mobile Global Championship which was 6 million dollars previous year to 2 million dollars this year. All of the teams are now competing in their respective PUBG Mobile Pro League tournaments to ensure that they are able to make a place to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship. These tournaments are taking place so that the teams are able to build up a good position in their PUBG Mobile Global Championship country rankings. So, the top teams from PMGC rankings will advance for Global Championship.

China given 4 slots for PMGC

It has been revealed by Tencent that this time there would be a total of four slots which would be provided to the Chinese teams. This is a surprising news for all the gamers and players but a great news for all the Chinese Esports players of PUBG Mobile. Nova Esports had been dominating the International level tournaments of PUBG Mobile for a long time and now they would be competing against three other Chinese teams along with the other top teams which would be coming from different parts of the world.

Nova Esports would be looking forward to maintaining their momentum in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship. They have already won the previous two editions of PMGC and would be looking to make a third winning streak for themselves. All of the Chinese teams compete against each other in the Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL). This tournament is being organised by Tencent every year and it has a way too challenging format for all the Chinese teams. It is way too different as compared to what is being played among different countries' PMPLs.

Currently, the Chinese Esports players are playing the Summer season of the Peacekeeper Elite League. The winners of the same would be able to advance themselves directly to the Grand finals of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022. The teams which secured the 2nd and 3rd positions would be receiving their slot to the League Stages of the tournament. However, Tencent has not yet revealed how they would select the fourth team from China. But they have said that they would be conducting a special qualifiers which would help them to choose the same.

Unfortunately, it has yet not been revealed by the developers how the Indian teams would be selected for the upcoming PUBG Mobile Global Championship. But still there are many other things related to the tournament which has yet not been revealed. So, the players hope that Indian teams would also be invited to the tournament. Unfortunately, after the ban of BGMI in the country, there are several questions which the developers have to answer the players. It is also unsure whether the Indian teams would be able to compete for the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 or not.
