Who won BGMI Showdown 2022?

The grand finals of BGMI Showdown 2022 have finally come to an end and the team of 7Sea Esports were dominant to win the tournament. No one thought that they would be able to win the tournament at the start, but the team improved day by day to prove themselves by securing the top position. BGMI Showdown had a total prize pool of 15 lakh INR which would be distributed among the table toppers and Most Valuable Players of the tournament. Therefore, the team of 7Sea Esports had won a total prize of 5 lakh INR along with an invitational slot in the PUBG Mobile World Invitational.

They would be joining Team Soul to represent the Indian teams at an International level. The PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fans had much expectations that the team of Orangutan would be able to lift the trophy without any issues. The team of Orangutan Esports led the points table until the last match. The last match of the tournament saw the team of 7Sea Esports dominate as they took a total of 30 points from the match with the Chicken dinner. This allowed them to come to the top of the leaderboard and take the title.

Therefore, the last match of the Grand finals were probably the most intense matches of the entire tournament. Now the team of 7Sea Esports have been crowned as the winners of the first official LAN tournament of BGMI. So, the team of Orangutan Esports secured the 2nd position in the tournament as they lost the title by a margin of 9 points only. Still the team took a total of 2.5 lakhs INR from the prize pool of the tournament by securing the 2nd position. Team Soul was the fan favourite team but unfortunately they were not able to maintain their performance due to which they ended the grand finals at the 7th position.

Match Highlights

The first match of the tournament was played at the Erangel map. In this match, the zone completely favoured the team of Skylightz Gaming which helped them to secure a win with a total of 11 finishes. They took the advantage between the fight of Team XO and Enigma Gaming due to which they were able to bag an easy chicken dinner. If Team XO would have taken the zone advantage earlier, it would have been easier for them to get the win.

The second match was being played in the Vikendi map. This was for the first time in BGMI LAN tournament that the matches were played in Vikendi. The team of 7Sea Esports secured the winner winner chicken dinner with a total of 12 finishes. Sarang played his best which helped him to get the title of Most Valuable Player of the match with a total of three eliminations. The team of Skylightz Gaming gave a tough fight as they secured 2nd position with a total of 7 kills.

The third match of the day was again being played in the Erangel map. The team of Orangutan Esports saw this match as a perfect opportunity to make a comeback. Therefore, they secured the win with a total of 11 finishes in the game. The most intense part of this match was the final fights between the team of Godlike Esports and Team Soul. However, the team of Orangutan Esports was able to take the advantage of this fight and bag the win.

The fourth match of the day saw the team of Hydra Esports play patiently to get the win. This match was being played in the map of Sanhok and the team of Hydra Esports showed their patience and waited for the right time to take the fights. This match again saw a fight between Team Soul and Godlike Esports where Godlike Esports was able to wipe Team Soul out.

The fifth match saw the 2nd win for the team of Orangutan Esports and made it clear that they are having high chances to win the tournament. In this match being played in Miramar, the team was able to dominate by taking a total of 8 kill Chicken dinner in the match.
