BGMI Showdown Day 3 Highlights

The third day of the first official BGMI LAN tournament has come to an end. And this day also marked an end to the group stages of the tournament. Now we have received our finalist teams which would now be facing each other to get the trophy and also find themselves a spot to the PUBG Mobile World Invitational. The Grand finals of the tournament are scheduled to begin on 24 July. There are a total of 16 teams which have been successful to advance themselves for the grand finals of the same. The team of Orange Rock Esports dominated the rankings of the Group stages by remaining on top of the leaderboard.

They secured a total of 167 points in the 12 matches which they had played. In these matches, the team took a total of 4 wins which showed the domination they had put forward to the game. Team XO tried their level best to be on the top but unfortunately they were not able to secure much wins like that of the team of OR Esports. So, Team XO finished the group stages of the tournament at the 2nd position. Now they would be looking forward to improve their performance for the grand finals and book their ticket to the PMWI.

Hyderabad Hydras gave a consistent performance throughout the 12 matches which they had played in the league stages. This helped the team to get the 3rd position in the leaderboard and be among the table toppers. They would be looking forward to carry on the momentum in the grand finals of the tournament. Team Soul gave their most awaited comeback to the tournament and finally they have advanced to the grand finals of the same. Unfortunately, Team X Spark was again unable to build up a momentum due to which they were not able to make it to the top 16 teams.

Match Highlights

The first match of the day was played between Group A and Group B. This match was held in the Erangel map. The team of OR Esports again showed their aggressive domination in this match as they secured an 18 kill chicken dinner in the game. Aaru was crowned as the Most Valuable Player of the match as he had a great contribution to his team. FS Esports tried their best to get the win but unfortunately they lost the final fight against OR Esports which made them eliminated at the 2nd position with 6 kills.

The second match was again played between Group A and Group B. The team of Hyderabad Hydras showed that why they are called the Dominator of the Miramar map. In this match, the team secured the win with a total of 15 eliminations. They made perfect zone predictions which helped them to get the higher ground in the last zone. The team of Reckoning Esports secured the 2nd position with a total of 4 finishes. The team of 7Sea Esports also gave their best performance but unfortunately got eliminated at the third position with 11 kills.

Finally, Team XO was able to bag their most awaited Chicken dinner in the third match of the day. They secured a total of 9 kills by eliminating both Team Soul and Team Esportswala in the final circle of the game. Team Soul gave their best performance in this match as the team secured a total of 22 points from this match. Goblin showed his dominant performance as he took a total of 8 kills from the game. Therefore, Team Soul got a great push from this match to the overall standings of the game.

The next match was played between Group B and Group C again as the team of Hydra Esports got an unexpected Chicken dinner in the game. Secret performed his level best to ensure that Team Hydra is able to get the win by defying the odds in the final circle. He took the third party advantage between the fight of Team Soul and Nigma Galaxy which helped him to get the win. However, Team Soul was still able to get a total of 21 points from this match which again gave them a great boost to the overall standings of the group stages.
