Best Exotics in Destiny 2

The Titan is the best at what it does—punishing enemies with a barrage of heavy weapons fire. Its super, "Tempered Metal," is a great example of this: it makes your Titan even stronger, giving you a chance to rain down massive damage for a short-ish period of time. It's not easy to use, but when you get the hang of it, it's truly devastating.

Unlike most Titans, your main role in combat will be to act as a tank and provide cover for your teammates. When things get hairy, use your super to keep yourself alive while your allies help you clear out enemies. If you're looking to deal some serious damage in the Crucible while keeping your teammates safe with Tempered Metal, these are my top 5 Exotics for Solar 3.0 titans:

Five deadly Exotics that you can use on Titans with Destiny 2 Solar 3.0

1) Loreley Splendor

Loreley Splendor is great because it has an exotic perk that allows any grenade kills within the first second of activation will return a shell. This is great for Titans because it gives us a way to help our team out during the crucible or strikes. The next exotic armor piece I want to talk about is Sunbracers. Sunbracers increases melee attack speed after the throw of a grenade. This allows us to quickly get our Super back faster so we can wipe out other teams in pvp or bosses in strikes and raids. My third favorite exotic armor set goes to Sentinel Armband, this exotic gives Titans a chance to reload their weapon when they melee an enemy with an empty magazine.

2) Synthoceps

The Synthoceps armor set comes with a perk called "A Light in the Dark," which gives you a melee charge every time you revive someone. Its other perks include Combination Blow, which makes your melee strikes chain to nearby enemies. That's an excellent perk for Titans who are using swords or hammers because it'll make it easier to quickly clear out groups of enemies. The helmet also has Explosive Pyre, which deals additional damage when you revive an ally. This is great when paired with Combination Blow because it'll make sure you can always get at least one kill after reviving someone.

3) Hallowfire Heart

If you're a PvE-focused Titan, Hallowfire Heart is the most versatile Exotic piece you can get because it opens up the widest range of playstyles that your subclass can have. It's a great pick right now because it offers an extra source of super energy, which means you can stay in your Super and not have to worry about not having enough ammo to use it again before you've had time to kill another group of enemies. This makes it useful for longer fights and for certain boss fights that require that constant output of damage instead of simply generating Orbs or getting multi-kills.

4) Heart of Inmost Light

This chestpiece works well due to its ability Solar Sentry and its perk Sunburst. With Solar Sentry, all kills with any Solar weapon will automatically create an Orb when you have any matching elemental weapon equipped. Sunburst is fantastic as it allows you to trigger Supers three times faster and it stacks with other sources of fast-charging like Omolon Fated Engrams or other players using their own Orbs. It also includes an Exotic perk that gives your Grenade energy back if you get a kill with it which comes in handy during high-pressure moments where grenades are scarce and need to be used carefully.

5) Phoenix Cradle

The Phoenix Cradle is a Hunter-class Exotic that increases the duration of Solar Burn effects, allowing you to keep your damage-over-time effects going for longer. This allows Titan Solar Titans to become a real threat on PvP maps that are set in areas with lots of cover and tight spaces. There are some things that the Destiny universe has been missing, and those are a few of the most powerful Titans in the game. With the new upcoming expansion, Destiny 2: Forsaken, we're going to get that and a lot more. It's not hard to see why this is happening, especially when looking at what was reported during the recent Bungie live stream. Their goal for the DLC is to bring back some of the things that made Destiny great in the beginning, and one of those things is Titan super abilities.
