These games need a Reboot

Video games have a very large history. Throughout that time, action-adventure games have been some of the most prominent entries. In recent years, they've delivered some of the most expansive game experiences alongside immersive combat. And yet sometimes certain series get stale and die out, but don't worry! There's always the reboot!  In recent years, many players have had their interest in action-adventure video games piqued. In truth, such a genre of video games offers an intriguing way to present players with new experiences and memorable stories. And now, for those seeking for a wide range of action-adventure video game titles that are both exciting to play and unique in execution, take a look at our featured offerings below.

5 action-adventure video games that will benefit from a reboot

5) Star Fox

Star Fox is a series that has always promoted free-flight space dogfighting action. The concept is so simple it's hard to screw it up. Each game had players take control of Arwing fighters from a third-person perspective as they battled Andross' forces across various planets and space stations. It was basically one large boss fight after another with some shooting on foot or in small vehicles thrown in between. The games' controls were easy to pick up and those who had mastered them found themselves able to execute tight turns and deftly weave through enemy fire while using special weapons like the reflective Smart Bomb to annihilate foes with ease. The franchise's most notable feature was its inclusion of a first-person view that allowed players to aim at targets using their TV screen as if they were playing on an arcade cabinet.

4) Darksiders

Darksiders has a lot in common with the Legend of Zelda series- it's an action-adventure game, where you explore dungeons and fight enemies. The game's combat is similar to Zelda's (it even uses (most) of the same moves), and some dungeons feel just as developed and interconnected as in Zelda. You play as War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, on his quest to clear his name after being blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse. While War is powerful and a force to be reckoned with, he's also incredibly stubborn and brash.

3) Prince of Persia

Okay, let's be fair here. Prince of Persia is a video game that needs a reboot. Slick graphics aside, the series has been in a rut for years and is due for some fresh blood. What I'd like to see in a reboot of Prince of Persia is a story set further back in time. The Prince that we know from Sands of Time and the other games has one foot in the magical world and the other in our very modern world. It's time to see what happens when BOTH feet are firmly planted in history! For an example, check out  Gladiator . This movie is set centuries ago and it plays on all of the fantasy elements that are present at this time. If you look at the way they staged some of the scenes, you can see how an action-adventure game could be developed around these concepts.

2) Deus Ex

Deus Ex This game was genuinely revolutionary, introducing the world to an open-world, cyberpunk-themed first-person action game. Its protagonist, JC Denton, can augment his body with weapons and abilities like a cyborg superhero. The story is set in a dystopian future where multinational corporations have taken over the earth and are fighting for control of the last remaining natural resources in the face of a global energy crisis. Deus Ex is an action-adventure video game that was released in 2000 and until now the game has been considered to be a great game by many critics. The game was developed by Ion Storm and published by Eidos Interactive. The game is known for its unique gameplay, impressive graphics, and amazing storyline. The game had sold over 1.5 million.

1) Metal Gear

The Metal Gear series was one of the first great stealth-action games ever made. In fact, the Metal Gear Solid franchise was one of the first to blend cinematic storytelling and gameplay into an interactive experience that gamers loved. The series has been dormant for almost five years now, but with the release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, it seems like Metal Gear is back and ready to play again.
