Nigma Galaxy crowned as PMPL MEA Champions

The PUBG Mobile Nigma Galaxy team emerged champions of the PMPL MEA Championship 2022 after a hard-fought battle with Lowkey Gaming. The tournament saw Nigma and Lowkey battle it out in a 7-game series. The series was neck to neck, with each game being won by the losing team. With such an exciting game between these two teams, the fans were on the edge of their seats throughout the entire series. The final game saw both teams face off on Pochinki and the match was extremely close. With both teams taking multiple games off each other, it seemed like the result would be a tie. However, at the end of Round 4, Nigma finally managed to get that elusive win and become PMPL MEA 2022 Champions!

The Nigma Galaxy team emerged as champions of the PMPL MEA Championship 2022, the final regional qualifier for PUBG Mobile's first-ever World Championship. In a dramatic grand final against the Afreeca Freecs, Nigma held on in a 26-26 tiebreaker round before pulling ahead and winning in the second round. The end of the tournament also signals an end to PMPL MEA Championship Season 1 and means that teams will now be able to qualify for PUBG Mobile's World Championship directly, bypassing any further regional qualifiers.

PMPL MEA Championship 2022 Overall standings

The PUBG Mobile- PMPL MEA Championship 2022 is finally here! This year, the tournament will be held in Dubai and will be one of the biggest internationals since the 2018 World Cup. The new high-end technology that was introduced in 2018 is used for creating this tournament. In this blog, we will be covering the Overall Standings after Day 1 of PUBG Mobile- PMPL MEA Championship 2022.

This past weekend, the PMPL celebrated its third anniversary with the PUBG Mobile-PMPL MEA Championship 2022. This year marked the first time that teams were able to qualify for the tournament through regional qualifiers hosted around the continent. The regional qualifiers were open and provided a platform for teams to test their strength against other competitors.

The results of this weekend's tournament were astounding, as it was quite obvious that all the practice and dedication that each team had put into their preparation for a chance to win gold paid off. Even though this was our third year hosting this championship, we can say without a doubt that this was our biggest yet. With over 80 teams competing from 18 regions, we have reason to be excited about what next year's tournament will bring!

With the season wrapped up and the final matches of the PUBG Mobile- PMPL MEA Championship 2022 completed, here are the final overall standings for this season.

At first, everyone was very excited to see that their favorite team had secured a spot in the top 10. Then, when it became apparent that there were no more top 10 spots available, everyone became anxious to know just where their favorite team would end up. With our new tiebreaker policy, we have a clear idea of exactly where each team finished in relation to each other.

It's no surprise that last season's champions are back at the top again this year. The only question at this point is if they can hold onto their crown or if someone else will snatch it away!

As we approach the finals of the PMPL MEA 2022 Championship, it's time to look back on how we got here. PUBG Mobile is approaching a decade of competitive play, and the MEA region has been a mainstay for much of that time. Teams from across North Africa and the Middle East have competed in our tournaments since early 2018, when PUBG Mobile joined the PMPL. In that time, we've seen several top-tier teams emerge from this region, including some that are still active today.

Inga Gaming has been one of these teams, having participated in every season of the PMPL since its inception. Their most recent successes include a second-place finish in the Spring 2022 Season, where they'd face off against current leader CHERRiSH Team in their final match of the season. Both teams would advance to the Summer 2022 Season, but Inga Gaming would claim victory in their first match and ultimately repeat as champions after defeating CHERRiSH Team again in a thrilling showdown during Finals Week.
