All you need to know about PMPL South Asia Spring 2022
The roadmap for the 2022 Global Championship has begun. All of the teams are now gearing themselves up to ensure that they qualify themselves for the upcoming PUBG Mobile Global Championship. Till now, many of the regional PUBG Mobile Pro League’s have been completed and the winners from those tournaments would now be facing each other in PMPL South Asia Spring 2022. The teams from the South Asian region which performed their best in the regional tournaments would now be going against each other for the bigger stage. It will be intense to see which of these teams will be able to take the win.
It has been confirmed that PMPL South Asia Spring 2022 would be starting on 29 March 2022 and teams have started practicing for the same. There will be a total of 20 teams that would be participating in the tournament and also would be fighting against each other to have an advantage afterward for their slot in PMGC. Therefore, all of the top South Asian teams will be going against each other which shows how much intense the matches of the tournament will be. Also, the matches of the tournament will be live-streamed on the official YouTube channel of PUBG Mobile.
Let us now have a look at the format of the tournament. If you have been watching the PUBG Mobile Pro League tournaments for a long time, then you would be aware of the format according to which the tournament works. As usual, this tournament will also be completed in a total of two stages which would be the League stages and then the Grand Finals. The league stages have further been divided into a total of two stages which would be weekdays and then the super weekends. So, the league stages will last for a total of three weeks.
All of the teams have been divided into a total of four groups having a total of five teams in each group. During the weekdays, all of the teams would be facing each other and go off for their slot in the super weekend. At the super weekend, the top 16 teams from the weekdays would be facing each other for the top spot at the final points table. The teams must also remember that only the points which they took during the super weekends would be taken for the final points table which would be helping them to reach the grand finals of the tournament. The top 16 teams from the overall league stages would be qualifying themselves for the final stages of the tournament which has been scheduled to begin on 22 April and end on 24 April.
Now, we would be having a look at the teams participating in the tournament. Some teams have been qualified through the regional tournaments whereas the rest of them have been invited to the tournament due to their glorious performance in the previous ones’.

All of these teams have been invited to the tournament whereas the others have been qualified through the qualifier stages of the tournament. The teams which have been qualified are as follows-

The team of Savage Esports has been the best performing team in the previous tournaments which they have played so far. Fans are also having high expectations from this top Mongolian team and also have high hopes that they would be winning the tournament. They have also shown their dominance during the qualifier stages of the tournament and had secured the first position. The second position of the tournament was secured by the team of DRS Gaming from Nepal.
The team of 7Sea eSports again showed an overwhelming performance after struggling a bit in the tournament. In the end, they finished the tournament’s qualifier stages securing the fourth position. Earlier this year, the roster of DRS Gaming had been signed by the organization of Skylightz Gaming.
