Will the players see the 2.2 update in BGMI?

Battlegrounds Mobile India has been one of the most popular battle royale games in the country. It had been launched as an alternative to PUBG Mobile after the game had been banned in the country due to the security reasons. The Government of India decided to ban PUBG Mobile along with some other Chinese applications to ensure that the data of Indians is not shared with the Chinese agencies. The developers of PUBG Mobile knew that they are having a huge audience base in India due to which they started working on an alternative for the same.

At the end, they took months to bring out BGMI and take confirmations from the Government for the same. So, in the month of July 2021, BGMI was officially launched in the country. But just after a year, the Indian Government again banned the game and the major part was that it had been banned for the same reason for which they had banned PUBG Mobile earlier. First the game was officially delisted from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store on 28 July and then the developers of BGMI confirmed that their game has been banned in the country.

Now it has been time since the developers gave any announcement regarding the unban of the game. Also they have not informed the players about the things which are going on in the back-end. Recently, Krafton and Tencent Games brought out the new update to PUBG Mobile which is the version 2.2 update. Usually the updates which are launched to PUBG Mobile are launched to the Indian variant of PUBG Mobile within a day or two. But now it has been more than a week since the update has been launched and the players do not have any idea whether it would be launched or not.

BGMI 2.2 update may not be launched

The official update of 2.2 version got launched in PUBG Mobile on 15th September 2022. It had been predicted that the update would be live on BGMI also within the next two days but that unfortunately did not happen. And now it has been more than a week since the update had been launched to PUBG Mobile and there is no such information whether this update would be launched to BGMI or not. Along with that, the new ranked season and RP season was also not launched to BGMI this time.

The developers did not provide any official statement regarding the same and the players want to know why this is happening. But the developers gave a notice in-game which informed the players about the error regarding the new RP and ranked season. They have informed the players that they would be working to resolve this as soon as possible. But unfortunately there is no appropriate date till when it would be launched. Many of the BGMI content creators also gave their views regarding the next update being launched to BGMI. They said that there are less or no chances that the update gets launched to BGMI.

Due to this reason, it is advised that the players should not keep high hopes that the update would be launched to BGMI. The content creators have also advised that the players should wait for the developers to provide information regarding the update or till then they can even try shifting to another game. It has been confirmed by the content creators that the next game update would not be launched until the game is back on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

There are many videos and websites available on the internet which show that you can download the BGMI 2.2 update from the links present over there. It is strongly recommended that the players should not click on such links as they can even hack their device. All of these links are fake and there are almost no chances that the 2.2 update gets launched to BGMI this month. Many content creators have even said that the game will take a few months to come back to the country and get unbanned.
