Things players need to know about BGMI ban

The Indian Gaming Community and the growing Esports scenario in India received a major shock when BGMI was banned again in the country. The game was first removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store from 28 July and then later on it was revealed that the game has received a ban from the Indian Government. There are many things which the players might not know about the ban and unban of the game and those things would be told to everyone in this article. Many fans have even started creating hilarious memes after the ban of the game again from the country.

There are a number of things which took place after the game got banned from the country. Some of these things were revealed to the players through the notices while the other things remained unnoticed till the announcement was provided by some content creators. There are many influencers who have even advised the audience to shift to some other games like PUBG New State, Apex legends Mobile and much more while they wait for BGMI to be unbanned in the country. Here are some things which the players need to know about BGMI ban -

Reason behind the ban

First of all, it is important for the players to know about the reason behind the game ban. This time again the game has been banned due to security reasons. The MEITY revealed that Krafton was again sharing information with the Chinese servers due to which they removed the game from the respective stores. This was the same reason behind which PUBG Mobile had been banned from the country. The Government said that BGMI has been banned under the Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. Tencent was involved in data sharing with BGMI.

Unban Date?

The players have been waiting patiently for the game to be unbanned. However, it is still unsure how much time will the game take to be unbanned as the developers have provided no official notice regarding the same. There are many fake rumours roaming all over the internet regarding the unban of the game. All of those rumours are fake and the players are advised to wait for the developers to provide any official announcement regarding the unban of the game. Krafton is still working with the Indian Government to ensure that the game is unbanned as soon as possible.

Active Servers

It had been said that this is a temporary ban to the game but there is no confirmation regarding the same. If the developers are unable to provide proofs to the Indian Government regarding the same, it might also result as a permanent ban to Battlegrounds Mobile India from the country. However, it has been almost a month since the game has been banned and the servers are still active due to which it can be said that the game is still under the temporary ban state. But, the servers might go offline when PUBG Mobile 2.2 update gets launched next month.

UC Purchase stopped

We all know that the servers of the game are still active but unfortunately the players would not be able to purchase UC (Unknown Cash) in the game. The main reason behind the same is that all the purchases in the game were made through the respective stores and since the game has been removed from there, it's purchases have also been blocked. So, the players need to wait for the game to get unbanned so that they would be able to purchase UC again and buy in-game items such as Royal Pass and much more.

Krafton on Allegations

When these allegations were put up on Krafton by the Indian Government, Krafton denied on the same saying that they did not shared data with the Chinese companies. However, they have been asked to submit proofs regarding the same to the Indian Government. If they are able to submit the proofs and prove themselves right in this situation, it would lead to the unban of the game as soon as possible. Till then the players are advised to wait patiently.
