GTA Online gets a Bug fix update

GTA Online is getting a big update this week that fixes a long list of issues. The biggest one is the ability to play with friends on the same server, but there are also plenty of minor fixes and additions. Here's what's happening in GTA Online:

Live Events

- The Beach Bum crew will be able to compete in Beach Bum races across Southern San Andreas.

- All existing events have been updated with new versions that include a new reward structure and additional ways to earn cash from winning them.

New vehicles

The Dinka Double Downder has been added to Los Santos for use by the Beach Bum crew. This vehicle can be purchased from Southern San Andreas Autos for $10,000 via Warstock Cache & Carry. It can also be acquired by completing 5 Random Job Missions for Francis or via Pegasus Lifestyle. The Pegasus Lifestyle store in Los Santos has been expanded with new items available for purchase including clothes, tattoos and accessories.

Are the bugs fixed?

GTA Online's latest background update attempts a fix for the game's infamous 'ghosting' bug. The latest version of GTA Online, which was released on Tuesday morning, fixes a mysterious bug that has plagued players since launch. The problem has been affecting some players when they've played with other players online, leaving them stuck in a ghosted state with no control over their character or camera.

Rockstar said that this issue would be addressed in an upcoming title update, but that it would take some time before it rolled out to Xbox One and PS4 players. Now it appears that Rockstar has taken action on its own to address the issue before it becomes widespread. The patch notes for the new update say: "Added ghosting prevention." It's unclear what exactly this means, but presumably Rockstar is looking into ways to prevent the weird ghosting effect from happening again.

GTA Online's latest background update attempts a fix for the game's most annoying bug: the inability to switch between first and third-person views. In GTA Online, players can switch between first-person and third-person perspectives. However, if you're in a car and your character is using a weapon or vehicle, this option is disabled until after you've exited either vehicle or weapon. This was a common issue among PC players, who often complained that they couldn't focus on the game while driving unless they switched to third-person view.

The new background update disables this option so that you can change camera angles at any time during gameplay without having to exit your current mode of transport. The change was implemented on PC yesterday — PS4 players won't see it until tomorrow. Rockstar has released the latest background update for GTA Online, which attempts to fix some of the issues that have been plaguing the game.

The most obvious of these is the lack of vehicles in certain parts of Los Santos. The new update adds new vehicles, including a Police Department car, a Taxi and a Firetruck, as well as a new waypoint option to allow players to get from one location to another without having to drive. The new update also fixes some bugs with weapons such as the Micro SMG and Police Pistol. It also changes how police respond to crimes committed in their presence so that they don't always throw you into jail once you've been arrested.

The biggest change is the addition of vehicle mods that can be used by any character on your account. This means that you don't have to start over if your character gets banned or deleted from your account - all of your mods will still be available on your other characters' accounts. GTA Online's latest background update attempts a fix for the infamous "ghost in the wall" glitch. The game's developers have been working on it since last week, and it appears to be going well.

The problem is this: Sometimes players can hear their friends talking in GTA Online, but they can't see their faces or hear them speak. This has been happening since around the GTA 5 launch, when Rockstar switched off the ability for players to use real-world chat in the game. According to Rockstar's Community Manager Dan Houser, this bug was caused by a recent server update that wasn't properly implemented by some players. He said that there are still some intermittent issues with it, but they're working on fixing them quickly.
