The Government of India banned Battlegrounds Mobile India on July 28, 2022. It was a shocking news for all the Esports players and BGMI lovers as the game first got removed from the Google Play Store and App Store. Still at that time it was not confirmed that the game has been banned or it is not showing due to some glitches or errors. However, a few hours later, a Google employee revealed on the Internet that the company received orders from the Government of India to remove the application from the respective stores. Due to this reason, BGMI has been removed from the Google Play Store and App Store.

It has been for the second time that BGMI has been banned. For the first time, it got banned as PUBG Mobile during the year 2020. The developers made a comeback in 2021 by launching Battlegrounds Mobile India but unfortunately the game didn't lasted long in the country. Watching such things happen, the players and even many content creators have started to shift themselves to some other games. The game which received the most downloads after the ban of BGMI is PUBG New State. This game was launched by Krafton a few months ago and has been dominant in the BR games scenario.
