BGMI Showdown Day 1 Highlights

The first ever official BGMI LAN tournament had finally started and all the top BGMI teams had been invited to the same. The teams gave a brilliant performance which helped them to show that Esports are on a growing phase in the country. This is one of the most important tournaments for all the BGMI teams playing the same. There are a total of 24 teams which are participating in the tournament and out of these only one team would be able to win and get their slot to the PUBG Mobile World Invitational tournament. Team Soul has already been invited to the tournament so there would be another Indian team participating in the invitational tournament.

It would be interesting to see which of these 24 teams would be able to climb up the ladder of the leaderboard and take their slot towards an Invitational tournament. The tournament is being live streamed on the official YouTube channel of BGMI. Along with that, the tournament has been sponsored by Loco which is a leading streaming platform in the country. Therefore, the tournament is also being streamed by Loco on their application. Let us now have a look at how the teams performed on the first day of the tournament.

Match Highlights

The tournament began in a perfect way as all the teams started giving their best performance from the first match. The first match of the tournament was dominated by the team of Hyderabad Hydras as they took the win in the game with a total of 15 eliminations. Their aggressive gameplay in the Erangel map helped them to achieve the win without any issues. The second match saw the team of Orange Rock Esports dominate the game as they secured the game with a total of 12 finishes. It looked like the team of OR Esports has started to build up their momentum.

And, it was true as the team secured their 2nd consecutive win in the third match of the tournament. However, they dominated more in this match as compared to the previous one. The team took a total of 17 kills during the game which helped them to take a good amount of points from the game to the leaderboard. The fourth match of the day again saw the team of Hyderabad Hydras take out a tough fight in the end circle and clinch the win with the same. They won the game with a total of 12 kills in the game and had secured their place in the top positions.

The fans waited for the team of Skylightz Gaming to make a comeback to the tournament and they did the same in the 5th Match of the tournament. The team secured a win in the fifth match of the tournament with a total of 10 kills. After that, it was time for the last match of the day and this match was secured by the team of INS. They won the match with a total of 13 kills in the game. It helped the team to take a good amount of points from the game and also jump up a few positions in the points table.

Points table

Being dominant and also consistent in their performance, the team of Orange Rock Esports is holding the first position after the end of the first day of the tournament. The team is currently having a total of 80 points with a total of 2 chicken dinners. Team XO was unfortunately unable to secure a win on the first day but their aggressive performance with a good position in most of the matches helped them to finish the day at the 2nd position. They are currently having a total of 77 points in the leaderboard and would be looking forward to taking the lead in the tournament.

The third position after the end of the first day is being held by the team of Hyderabad Hydras. They were not able to take much kill points as compared to that of the team of Orange Rock Esports. However, they would be looking forward to get the remaining points and clear out the remaining teams to be on the top of the tournament.
