This PUBG Mobile roster gets disbanded

Team XSET is a new organization formed by friends who were looking to compete in mobile esports. Their PUBG Mobile team was created on February 15th when they signed two players: Kim Hyeon-tae "PentaQ" (DPS) and Kim Min-jae "Aiming" (Flex). At the time of signing, they had already qualified for the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge Asia Season 1 Finals, and they would go on to place 2nd at that event behind Team Malaya.

The XSET team of Indian Counter-Strike players have decided to disband their PUBG Mobile roster consisting of J7, KillSwitch, and others. Players leaving the team include J7, KillSwitch, and others. The roster was formed in late 2017 with a goal of becoming the "NIP" of India by winning the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League. Unfortunately, the team failed to achieve their goal as they were unable to win a single tournament.

Realizing that there was no future for the PUBG Mobile scene in India, the players decided to join teams abroad for 2019. It is unclear whether this move will pay off for them or not but XSET has guaranteed that they will do their best to help the players find a home abroad.

The eSports organization XSET has announced it will be disbanding its PUBG Mobile team which consists of J7, KillSwitch, and others. The news comes as a surprise to some, as XSET's PUBG Mobile roster had just been acquired by DeToNator just two months ago.

The team had been playing under the XSET banner for much longer than that, however. When the announcement was made in early June 2017 that Team Stylish would be changing its name to XSET, speculation began about what kind of changes were coming to the team. It was well known at the time that J7 and KillSwitch were looking for other teams to join at the time. In fact, KillSwitch had already joined a separate squad called Team One alongside former members of Team Stylish—the other players being Uzi and Neo—earlier that month in June.

XSET is a relatively new organization that has primarily competed in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) since its founding in 2018 with a roster consisting of F4zE, AChowMein, and Bwasko. The team took home several first-place finishes in smaller tournaments before making its way into the Challengers Cup Division 1 this summer where they wound up finishing sixth overall with three wins and five losses.

The organization's move into PUBG Mobile came as part of an effort to branch out into more games, according to Dot Esports.

Team XSET recently announced their departure from the PUBG Mobile scene, citing it as a "necessary decision" for the future of the organization.

Team XSET was one of the most successful organizations in the PUBG Mobile competitive scene for quite some time. They were champions of numerous tournaments and only lost two events during their tenure as a competitive team. The organization had a rich history that dates back to the beginning of competitive PUBG, having found success in games like H1Z1 and PlayerUnknown's Battle Royale (PUBG).

The roster has been together since early 2018, where they started out as an unsponsored team with members from various backgrounds and skill levels. Their constant dedication and efforts finally paid off when they won the first major event they participated in, Nexus Cup - Season 2 Finals. This victory solidified Team XSET's roster and proved that they were a force to be reckoned with.

Team XSET is set to disband after their player, xXxSETxXx, was allegedly caught cheating during the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge 2018. An image of xXxSETxXx with a suspiciously large number of chicken dinners in his inventory was posted on Twitter by user @B0nE_oF_K1ng0fC00L. The tweet has since been deleted but the video that seems to be the source of this allegation is still on B0nE_oF_K1ng0fC00L’s Twitter page.

Team XSET has since replied with a lengthy statement, which we have reproduced it below:

“We are aware of the cheating allegations against one of our players and we would like to respond via this statement. We apologize for not being able to address these allegations in a more timely manner. Around the time when the allegations surfaced, there were communication issues within our team regarding this issue and therefore we were unable to give a more timely response.
