League of Legends LEC 2022 Summer Split: Details

League of Legends fans have been waiting for the League Of Legends LEC Summer Split to begin for a long time. This tournament features the best teams in the European region which would be battling off for the championship. And after the intense final match being played at the League of Legends MSI 2022, it would be intense for the fans to have a look at which of the teams would be able to make their comeback to the competitive scenario of League of Legends. The developers had not provided any date or official announcement regarding the tournament but finally Riot games came forward with an announcement related to the same a few days ago. There are many other things which have also been revealed that makes the tournament wait even more closer to get over.

Now the players have an idea that all the teams which were a part of the Spring Split would be a part of this tournament also. However, it is still unknown that what lineups would be further brought up by the teams for the tournament. It looks like the teams which were unable to perform their best in the Spring Split would change their lineups and the teams which were among the table toppers are unlikely to change their lineups for the tournament. Changing the lineup might provide them some serious consequences in the tournament which no team wants to see.

Things revealed by the Developers

Let us now have a look at the information about the tournament which has been revealed by the developers till yet. The developers have stated officially that the League of Legends LEC 2022 Summer Split would be starting on 17 June. They have also provided a list of the teams which would be participating in the same. The participating teams are as follows-

  • G2 Esports

  • Rogue

  • MAD Lions

  • Fnatic

  • Misfits Gaming

  • EXCEL

  • SK Gaming

  • Team Vitality

  • Team BDS

  • Astralis

The fans are way too excited for the tournament to begin and want to see which teams would be facing each other in the first week of the tournament. However, the developers have stated that the first week would be the Super Week as the fans would be able to see some high level clashes between the top level teams in the region. It is still not revealed which teams would be facing each other but it can be said that the tournament is surely going to be loved by the fans.

The team of G2 Esports would be looking forward to continuing their domination in the tournament. They had performed their best in the Spring Split but unfortunately were not able to perform well in the tournament finals. But their clean win in the semi finals have made most of the teams scared of the early game fights which they take. Teams like Vitality, Rogue and Fnatic were not able to perform well in the previous tournament so there are chances that they would be changing their lineups before stepping into this tournament. Also, these teams would be looking forward to make a comeback to the competitive scenario with their overwhelming performance.

We all know that the League of Legends LEC Summer Split is one of the most awaited Esports tournaments of the game. The main reason behind the same is that the teams get more focused on the competition and try to show their synergy which they have built for the upcoming seasons. If we have a look at the Spring Split tournaments which have been hosted till now, we would be able to see that there are many new players playing the tournament and surprisingly these players have played with the teams for just 2 to 3 weeks.

But when these players have spent some time with their teams, around a few months, they are able to get their strategic gameplay which would help them to win. This time gets completed when the Summer Split is about to begin. Therefore, it would be intense to see which of the participating teams would be able to give their best performance in the tournament and become the champions of League of Legends LEC Summer Split 2022.
