All you need to know about Operation Monarch in Warzone

Warzone's next expansion, Operation Monarch, is just around the corner, and details about it have leaked. According to sources familiar with the upcoming update, this new event will introduce a battlezone with a jungle theme, as well as new weapons, attachments, skins, and gear. This is also probably the most anticipated thing which the players waited for a long time to be launched to the game. Therefore, leaks for the same have also been able to create more excitement among the players so that they would be able to have a glimpse at what would be launched.

We'll start by looking at the new map. Operation Monarch will be set in a jungle environment with a stream running through it. There are wooden shacks scattered throughout the stream that players can use as cover in battle. This map will be released during an update on November 23rd.

Next, we have new weapons. The first weapon is the Bullfrog—a bullpup assault rifle—which will be available for free to all players starting on November 16th. It will be purchasable from the in-game store for 40 Warzone credits on November 23rd and 25th. The second weapon is the Bumblebee—a submachine gun—and it will be available for purchase from the in-game store for $10 starting on November 23rd and 25th. It can also be purchased for 20 Warzone credits after November 23rd.

All details about the "Operation Monarch" event in Warzone

With the heels of Operation: Red Veil still ringing in our ears, we're getting bombarded with new information about Warzone's next event, Operation Monarch. According to leaked audio files from the development team, Operation Monarch will be a two-part event that marks the return of Commander Blisk and his band of mercenaries. While this definitely sounds like a lot of fun for our competitive-minded players, there has been some confusion about what exactly Operation Monarch entails for the rest of us. To clear all of this up, we sat down with Warzone's Creative Director, David Ellis, who gave us an exclusive interview with all of the details.

1) 60 players battle royale

In an update regarding the mode on Warzone's website, the developers have detailed more about this new mode, including the map layout and some of the weapons that will feature in it. The map itself is set in London, England and features recognizable landmarks such as Big Ben, The London Eye and St Paul's Cathedral.

Hostile helicopters and dropships will be flying over the map, dropping supply crates containing powerful weapons for players to pick up. These weapons include flamethrowers (which burn survivors for 10 damage per second), miniguns (which deal 7 damage per bullet) and Sentry Turrets (which deal 120 continuous damage until destroyed).

2) Resurgence

A new development has been discovered in the Warzone series, codenamed Operation Monarch. In an internal email from a representative at Warzone developer 343 Industries, a plot summary for the upcoming operation has been revealed. According to an excerpt of the leaked email, this operation will focus on the inevitable resistance to Spartan IVs as they attempt to police hostile colonies and protect civilians from rebel forces. The Spartans will face opposition from both Insurrectionists and assorted militia groups. The climax of this operation will be a battle on Eridanus II against a new type of Insurrectionist supersoldier, known only as "Colossus".

3) Power Grab

In the latest Warzone leak, we've learned that Power Grab will be making its way to Halo 5's Operation Monarch playlist. The game mode is classic Territories in which you'll fight over three control points while trying to capture your enemy's flag.

The unique twist on this classic mode comes from the power weapons scattered around the map. In addition to the normal loadout of Assault Rifles and Sniper Rifles, Power Weapons include the Spartan Laser and Rocket Launcher.

4) The goal of the event

As a follow-up to our earlier "Warzone's upcoming Operation Monarch details leaked: The event's theme and narrative" blog, we thought we'd share some information that has been confirmed about the new event called Operation Monarch. While this is all subject to change, here are a few things that we can say for sure about what you can expect from the new operation!

5) Monarch S.C.R.E.A.M device

The mysterious Monarch is undoubtedly the biggest addition to Warzone's arsenal of weaponry and has been a subject of much speculation since the game's inception. We recently received an exclusive look at the latest version of this device, now confirmed as S.C.R.E.A.M., short for "Supercooled Carbon-Nanotube Real-Time Environmentally Adaptive Modulator".
