All you need to know about PMPL South Asia Championship 2022

We have finally reached to the PMPL South Asia Championship 2022. All of the great South Asia teams would now be competing against each other to secure their spot in the PMGC which will happen later this year. After having a look at the success of PMGC last year, the developers would now be increasing the prize pool of the same. The more the prize pool, the tougher the competition gets for the players. It has been confirmed that PMPL South Asia Championship is about to begin on 19 May 2022. It will be a four days event and would come to an end on 22 May.

There are a total of 16 team which would be coming from different regions of the South Asia. All of these teams would be giving their level best to ensure that they take home the title of PMPL South Asia Champions. This tournament consists of the top ten teams which had been qualified through the PMPL South Asia Spring 2022 which happened a few weeks ago. The remaining six teams would be coming from the Pakistan region being qualified through the PMPL Pakistan Spring 2022. All of these teams would be going against each other in a total of 24 matches which would be telling us who would be called as the champions.

Qualified Teams

Let us now have a look at the list of teams which have been qualified for the same. The teams which secured top ten positions from PMPL South Asia Spring and the teams which secured top six positions from the PMPL Pakistan Spring have made it to the championship. These teams are as follows-

These sixteen teams would be battling against each other over the three classic maps for 24 matches to determine who is the best. All the teams would also be taking this as an opportunity to be ahead of the others in the race to be qualified for PMGC 2022, the grandest stage of them all. PMGC is one of the most awaited tournaments to ever take place and the teams would be giving their best efforts to ensure that they have made it to the same.

PMPL Pakistan Spring Summary

PMPL Pakistan Spring saw the rise of the underdog teams as they even made it difficult for the veteran teams to survive in the tournament. The team of 52x RAGE had been crowned as the winners of the tournament and they would be entering the PMPL South Asia Championship with boosted confidence. They have remained both consistent and aggressive with their performances during the league stages and also the grand finals of the tournament. The team of Saltxi8 Esports came out to be dominant in the league stages of the tournament.

They had secured the first position in the same but unfortunately were not able to maintain the same performance in the grand finals. The team fell down in some matches due to which they ended the tournament grand finals at the third position. Fans had much expectations from Team Qwerty as they had won many championships earlier. But unfortunately the team failed to be qualified for the PMPL South Asia Championship.

This time, the PMPL South Asia Spring 2022 was one of the most intense tournaments that took place till now.
