What's new in Minecraft Snapshot 22w18a?

The developers of Minecraft are trying their level best to make improvements to the 1.19 update before launching it officially. For that to happen, they have been bringing out many new snapshots for the game for the players to test out the new features. Recently, they introduced another new snapshot for the game which goes by the version name 22w18a. This snapshot has added a lot of changes to the game and even might change the way we used to face mobs which are about to be added in the new update. The main focus of the development team through these updates is that they make the new structure, the Deep Dark and also the new mob, Warden even better.

Being compared to the other snapshots, the developers also made a few minor changes to the game through this update. They have also fixed some bugs and glitches which the players faced previously and would be allowing the players to try the update for some more weeks before it gets ready for the final launch. Since the discussion had started for the 1.19 update, the developers have been trying their best to ensure that they make this one of the best updates which the players had ever got in the game.

Since last month, the developers have launched more than 7 snapshots with each snapshot bringing some new glitch fixes. But this time, they have also added a few new features to the game to ensure that the new update brings loads of content for the players. The update which they have launched this time is also small but they have made many notable changes to the game through the same. Let us have a look at some of those changes which they have added to the game through the new snapshot. These changes are as follows-

Allay

The first notable change which they have made in the game is on the Allay character. For the players who do not know about the same, Allay is the new friendly mob which would be added to the game in the version 1.19 update and the players can make him their pets. This pet is a cute helper and would be picking up the items which the players would have dropped and also would be following the player all around. Through the latest snapshot, the developers have changed the way in which this mob would be following the player and this mob would be able to detect the player 64 blocks away.

New Command

This time the developers have added a new command to the game and if you love using commands through the chat then this feature will excite you. The developers have added a new command which goes by the name "/place". Through this command, the players would be able to place any random block or even structures to wherever they want. They have now added jigsaw and structure options to this command through the latest snapshot. Now, it would be even more easier for the content creators to take challenges.

Warden's attack animation

Warden is one of the most awaited hostile mobs to be added to the game. The developers had made an announcement regarding the same a few years ago and the players waited for it to launch in the game. But this time it would be coming to the game in the version 1.19 update. It is not easy to defeat this mob as the players would not even be able to kill it by towering up as they used to do for Iron Golem. Through the recent snapshot, the developers have added new animation to the Sonic Boom attack launched by the Warden.

Sculk and Warden's detection

One of the biggest problems which the players faced was due to the Sculk block as it was able to detect vibration within a second and put the players into trouble. The Sculk block and the Warden were able to detect the first vibration within a second but this time these blocks would be able to detect the closest vibration instead of the first vibration in a tick.
