Is the Genshin Impact 2.7 update delayed?

Genshin Impact is one such games in which the developers bring big updates very frequently. The version 2.6 update had been launched to the game a few weeks ago and after the launch, the developers also started giving leaks for the version 2.7 update. Since then, players have been waiting for them to provide some more information about the same and also players want to know what other new things would be launched to the game during the update. There are a few things which the developers have already confirmed would be coming to the game while the others are about to be confirmed by them soon.

The data miners are constantly playing an active role to inform the players about the things at which the developers are working. But a few sources have revealed that the new update which would be coming to the game soon might be delayed for a few weeks. Some of the sources have even revealed the exact number saying that the update will be delayed for a total of 3 weeks which means that the fans would have to wait a lot for it to launch. The reason behind which the update has been delayed is that COVID 19 is spreading again in the country of China and also stopping the developers to work for the update.

It has yet not been officially confirmed that the Genshin Impact 2.7 update would be delayed for a total of three weeks. But still there are many rumours and discussions going all over the Internet that the update has been delayed. Some of the sources even claim that they had a talk with the developers regarding the same and the developers have confirmed that the update would be delayed. Also, it has not been stated that whether the update delay will delay the version 2.8 update of the game or not.

Players had also been waiting for the update livestream which unfortunately would also be delayed this time. Some of the data miners have said that this time the livestream of the new update would be done by 20th May. The other data miners and players are making speculations regarding the banner reruns, compensation for launching the update late, and much more. There are many rumours regarding the characters which would be included this time in the rerun banner of the game. Many players are seeing this wait for the update as bad for them while the others have taken it in a beneficial way.

The players would now be having enough time to farm for the materials and also collect Primogems which would be helping them a lot when the update gets launched. And also, this time the developers have confirmed that they would be bringing in a new 5-star character to the game. Therefore, players cannot skip any chance to miss it out. Different sources have been providing different times that the update would be delayed. However, it can be said that the update would be delayed for a total of 21 days and not more than that. 

It is expected that the details for the same would be provided by the developers as soon as possible. The data miners have also started a debate among themselves whether the developers would be launching a rerun banner during the delay time or not. It might not be possible for the developers to do the same as it can probably mess up the future banner updates which the developers have decided to launch for the version 2.7 update. Moreover, fans have demanded that Kaedehara Kazuha should be returning in the banner update.

If we have a look at the update, it was expected to be launched during the start of May. But the current scenarios tell that the update would be out for the players in the month of June. This has given more time to the players and developers both so that they would be able to utilise it more efficiently. Although, the delay would be affecting a lot of things and may even push forward some of the events and other important things.
