The first thing to note is that it's not just about giving players an advantage. It's also about protecting their privacy. While you may have noticed that many popular games have SMS protection, the feature has been available in games for a long time — it's just not as widespread as it should be.

Modern Warfare 2 will take advantage of the new feature and allow players to protect their accounts with two-factor authentication, but they'll still need to enter their password when logging in to the game. This allows them to keep their account secure while also providing another layer of security in case someone has access to your phone number or email address.

Overwatch 2 has a controversial feature called "Friends List" that allows players to share their friends list with other people who play Overwatch League matches. You can see how this works by checking out our article on how Blizzard plans on using Friends List for its upcoming e-sports league!

How both of them would be different?

Modern Warfare 2 will officially not implement the controversial Overwatch 2 SMS protocol. The Overwatch 2 SMS protocol was revealed by Infinity Ward at E3 2019 and was seen as a way to help players stay in touch with their friends during multiplayer matches. The idea was that players could send each other messages using their phones while playing, but some gamers were concerned about privacy issues.

The developer has since confirmed that the feature will not be implemented for Modern Warfare 2, but it does not seem like it will be removed entirely from future Call of Duty games. "We wanted to let you know that we're going to be taking steps away from the Overwatch 2 SMS system," a representative for Activision told Kotaku in an email. "We do not have plans to remove it entirely."

The Overwatch 2 SMS system is designed so that players can send and receive messages while they're playing Modern Warfare 2 on PC or Xbox One. Players can also receive notifications if someone else sends them one, which allows them to stay connected without having to open up their console or PC every time they need to respond.

According to the game's official website, Modern Warfare 2 will not implement the controversial Overwatch 2 SMS protocol. The Overwatch 2 SMS protocol allows players to send messages to each other using their phones. The first iteration of Overwatch 2 was called Overwatch 2: Heroes Of Mayhem, which only allowed players to communicate with each other in-game through text messages.

In a blog post on the official website, Infinity Ward said that they were working closely with Activision and Blizzard Entertainment to make sure that they are able to secure the best experience for players. This means that they will not be implementing any new features or updates that would require an additional purchase of the game.

"We want you to know that we've been working closely with both Activision and Blizzard Entertainment to make sure we can deliver a great experience for all of our fans," Infinity Ward wrote in their blog post. "We're not planning on adding any additional features or updates that require an additional purchase of the game.
