Battlegrounds Mobile India is all set to begin off with its new tournament also known as Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge. This would be the first tournament of the 2022 Esports of BGMI. All of the teams are having high hopes to perform well in this tournament. The first official BGMI tournament was won by the team of Skylightz Gaming. All of the BGMI players would be aware of the ongoing tournament which is BMOC The Grind where the top Esports team are competing. The league stages of the tournament have been scheduled to begin on 7 April 2022.

 

It has also been revealed that the league stages will last for a few days and will end on 10 April 2022. A total of 24 teams have been qualified for the same through the Qualifiers stage and now these teams have been divided into three groups of 8 teams each. There will be a total of 6 matches to be played each day and the top 16 teams would be having themselves qualified for the finals of the tournament. Along with that, the first stage of BMOC has already begun and the teams have started playing Classic matches for the same to get themselves qualified for the 2nd stage.

 

Also, players must note that Krafton has organized this tournament as a practice scrim for Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge. There were a total of three stages in BMOC: The Grind. These were Qualifiers, League Stages, and Finals. Many teams participated in the qualifier stages of the tournament out of which only 24 of them were able to get themselves qualified for the league stages. This tournament is also having a prize pool of 150K INR and the winners of the tournament would be receiving 75K from the prize pool. So, all the teams would be aiming for the win in the tournament.

Teams Qualified

There are a total of 24 teams that have qualified themselves for the league stages of the tournament from the qualifier stages. These teams have been divided into groups which are as follows-

So, these are the teams that have been able to qualify themselves from the qualifier stages to the League stages. Team XO showed a dominant performance in the qualifier stages of the tournament. Sensei was perfectly able to play the role of IGL and led his team to the first position with a total of 169 points. When they played the first match of the tournament, they showed the dominance that they would be making further in the other matches. They won the first match of the tournament with a total of 20 eliminations. Also, they have been performing great for the last few months in tournaments.

 

On the other hand, Team Soul which was the fan’s favorite for the tournament finished the qualifier stages at the 2nd position having a total of 151 points. A few matches led to their early eliminations due to which they missed the first spot. Now they would be looking forward to ensuring that they are able to secure the top position in the league stages of the tournament. Along with that, the team of Hyderabad Hydras who have been the rising stars ever since BGIS also performed consistently in the qualifiers. They ended the qualifiers at 4th position.

 

The only thing which the fans loved in the tournament till now is the comeback that had been made by GodLike Esports. In the first two days, they were among the bottom teams of the tournament but they were able to bounce back up to a better place. Their aggressive performance during the last two days became helpful for them to end the Qualifiers stage of the tournament at the 7th position. This time again Team Xspark was able to prove themselves as consistent performers due to which they have again qualified themselves for the next stages. The bottom 8 teams were unfortunately unable to qualify themselves for the next stage.
