Will Team Soul be a part of the PMWI 2022?

Recently, the government of India has imposed another ban on the most popular game in the country, Battlegrounds Mobile India. It is a shocking news for all the game fans and also the developers of the game but unfortunately they need to follow the government rules. We were slowly moving closer towards the International level tournaments of PUBG Mobile like PMWI 2022. In PMWI, there are a total of two Indian teams which have been invited. These teams are Team Soul and Team 7Sea Esports. However, after the game has been banned, it does not looks possible for the Indian teams that they will be able to compete in the tournament or not

Krafton is now cooperating with the government rules and regulations as they said in the official statement. And they also said that they are trying to communicate with the game officials to bring the game back to the country. But the second ban to the game has thrashed down all the hopes of the players due to which it seems impossible for the game to come back to the country. Now there are less than two weeks left for the PUBG Mobile World Invitational tournament to begin and at this phase when BGMI got banned, it became a shocking news for all the Esports players of BGMI.

This tournament would be featuring a total prize pool of 3 million US dollars which is a big amount and missing this tournament against the top International teams is not what the Indian teams want. But Krafton has said that they would be confirming soon whether the Indian teams would be able to take part in their next International tournament or not. It is said that they would provide the information regarding the same till Tuesday, 2 August. Also, PMWI would be the first LAN event of 2022 being played at an International level. So, it would be disheartening if the Indian teams miss the same.

What does Krafton say regarding the same?

Krafton has also received the same shock after the unfortunate ban of BGMI as the fans did. And they are constantly communicating with the government officials to ensure that they are able to bring the game back to the country. But, they do not have any idea how much time this process would take because of which they also need to see whether the Indian teams would be able to participate in their tournament or not.

After the ban of BGMI, when Namam Mathur, a.k.a Mortal was live on his channel, viewers asked him whether his team would be a part of PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 after the game ban or not. In that stream, Mortal revealed that it would be Krafton deciding the same and the developers would inform their decisions to the respective teams till Tuesday. Along with that, Mortal also revealed that he would be informing his viewers and players regarding what would happen next and posting the updates on his Twitter account. He told that the game officials would be keeping him and other BGMI Partner players updated with all the process going on behind the scenes.

In his recent tweet, Mortal also said that the developers of the game are following all the rules and regulations taken out by the Government of India. Therefore, he advised the players to wait for any further information regarding the same from the side of the officials. Along with that, Mortal also suggested his viewers to play PUBG New State as he also streamed the same on his YouTube channel. The game received positive responses from all of the Youtubers who played it after BGMI got banned.

It was clear from his tweet on the day of ban, that Mortal was also shocked from the immediate removal of BGMI from the Play Store and App Store. Here's what the developers said regarding the ban in an official announcement-
