Most inappropriate Twitch streamer bans

Twitch has a long history of banning streamers and then changing their minds, but there have been certain bans that stand out as being particularly ridiculous. These include the time they banned a streamer for posting a screenshot of a tweet, but then unbanned him hours later. Or when they banned someone for criticizing Twitch to their 30,000 followers, but then reversed it after the community complained.

Bans like this make you wonder who is making the decisions at Twitch, and whether all employees are playing by the same rules.

Twitch streamers are a funny breed. They go out of their way to be entertaining and often have the best intentions, but it doesn't always work out that way. Sometimes they do something that's so bad, Twitch has no choice but to ban them.

With the Twitch community being as tight-knit as it is, each streamer's behavior tends to reflect on their peers and the community as a whole. In an effort to keep things civil and to deal with toxic behavior, Twitch has rolled out bans for certain types of misbehaving streamers in the past. Some of them make sense, but others are completely baffling.

5) Wismichu

Twitch streamers Wismichu and Lirik have recently been banned from Twitch for promoting an online gambling site. Wismichu has reportedly lost a total of $11,000 after being unbanned.

Tobiias, one of the biggest streamers on Twitch and Youtube, has also been banned from Twitch. His ban was related to a giveaway involving a website which is against the rules of Twitch, according to their terms of service.

Other big streamers like Summit1G and KingGothalion were temporarily banned in the past for undisclosed reasons which were later revealed to be for teaming and sharing accounts by other streamers.

4) Gabepeixe

A Twitch streamer who goes by the name Gabepeixe (which translates to "fish" in Portuguese) was banned after a routine checkup. The streamer was found to be broadcasting his own channel while he slept, according to Dexerto. This is against Twitch's terms of service, which prohibits streams where no one is present. Gabepeixe has since returned to Twitch with a new account and is still streaming as of this writing.

The Brazilian streamer Gabepeixe was banned from Twitch for a period of time due to an incident with a female Twitch viewer that involved him "cheating on his wife".

The footage has since been deleted but you can see the video below.

Gabepeixe's ban lasted three months but he is now back on the platform and is currently the 12th most popular streamer with 6,000 viewers.

2) STPeach

Twitch streamer STPeach was banned from Twitch on 20 February, but it wasn't for any of the standard reasons.

In fact, it seems that she was banned for no reason at all.

STPeach is a 21-year-old Canadian streamer who specialises in Just Dance and broadcasted her first live stream on 1 March 2015. She has since gained over 400,000 followers on Twitch and amassed over 6 million views in total.

The reason that she was banned is currently unknown as there has been no confirmation from Twitch itself as to why she was suspended. It's also not clear how long her suspension will last, but the general consensus from other streamers is that it's likely to be just a short ban.

1) Dr DisRespect

Twitch streamer banned for second time : After a two-month exile, Dr DisRespect has returned to Twitch.

Twitch streamer Dr DisRespect has been banned from the site for a second time. The popular streamer briefly returned to the site after his previous ban in June, but was removed again for reasons that are currently unknown.

Dr Disrespect is no stranger to controversy. His abrasive personality and flamboyant character have led to multiple bans from Twitch throughout his career. In 2017, he was banned from the platform after broadcasting from a public bathroom at E3 in Los Angeles. He was also banned from Twitch in June of this year, but returned to streaming just a couple of weeks later with no explanation as to why he’d been removed or why he had been allowed back on the platform so soon.
